Studio
Human Nature Studio is a place of artistic craftsmanship, where I create unique ceramic products inspired by the shapes of female body and organic forms of nature.
The studio is located in the Art Nouveau center of Bielsko-Biała and usually is full of life throughout the day. Step in and join me for a cup of hot coffee, get one of my cups and see what the process of making ceramics looks like.

Creative process
Process of creating ceramic vessels consists of many stages – each of them requires focus and precision. I love to draw, so I usually start by making a sketch on paper. This gives me freedom and the ability to quickly “jot-down” fleeting thoughts. Then it is time to get my hands dirty.
Preparing the clay, throwing on the wheel, trimming foots, sculpting breasts, controlled drying, sanding, glazing, fireing in the kiln. If the project requires gold-plated elements it will have to go to the kiln three times.
Every day I use proven techniques but I also give myself some space for crazy experiments. Maybe not always, but sometimes they result in emergence of new interesting forms or discovery of new glazing finish.
All of that is done by hand and the full cycle of product formation lasts at least three weeks.

Human
I create each cup individually and it comes very naturally. Each project has its origin in meetings and conversations with specific people, what evokes memories of their history. Women entrusting me with their stories, from which new projects often emerge.
For egzample the conversation with Olivia during drinking the morning coffee became the inspiration for the creation of “Oliwia” – probably the most popular cup.
The name of the pot “Emilia” commemorates a touching conversation on the occasion of the Targi Rzeczy Ładnych in Warsaw, about how our body reflects the history of our lives.
Each day brings new experiences and each meeting can become an inspiration for future projects.
I want that idea of bodypositive shapes of clay encourage women to look at their body with tenderness.
Silhouettes of women of different postures, colours and of different ages, breasts of various shapes, various bellies, folds, birthmarks, freckles, wrinkles and stretch marks – all this is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me.
I often hear the question, what made me deal with this topic? Why the breast?
When I was pregnant, I watched my changing body in the mirror. I started drawing them, and one day I decided to try to sculpt them in clay. This is how my first work was created with the working title “Vassel with the Big Belly”.
I returned to the same clay in the end of breastfeeding, which was a very difficult experience for me.
The process of changing our bodies – whether as a result of puberty, pregnancy, breastfeeding, diseases, surgery or simply the passage of time – is always difficult and often also full of extreme emotions.
I would like my ceramics to be a companion of these intense experiences. I know from conversations that lot of you find support in my bodypositive ceramics.

Nature
In addition to the dishes, I also create sculptural objects inspired by nature forms.
The sculptural ceramic coral reefs – colonies of marine life – can function independently as sculptures, but also become an impressive place to present jewelry or a fancy candlestick with a place for incense. They are also used as luxury aquarium equipment.
At the individual request of investors and architects, I also design and make unique mosaics made of ceramic tiles. If you like the forms of my ceramics and you want to give your interior a unique character – contact me and get to know my projects and projects.

About me
I am a graduate of the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. The long-term, persistent study of the nude in drawing and painting, based on observations of very different models, allowed me to gain the freedom to create forms of ceramics inspired by anatomy.
I was led to my work experience with various media and materials, such as drawing, art book, bookbinding or artistic fabric.
Even during my studies, I began to be interested in the mutual relations between human and nature, the bonds that bind us to the natural world – both in the biological and social or aesthetic dimensions.
After graduating from the Academy and serving on a scholarship in Berlin, I returned to my hometown. I am currently developing the Human Nature Studio, which has already found its place on the cultural map of Bielsko-Biała.
